Nine female artists with a common experience: All were stipendiaries at different times for several months at the ISCP, the International Studio & Curatorial Program, in Brooklyn/New York. The exhibition shows the long-term influence of residencies on artistic work and how effective international exchange is in art.

All artists show works that could not have been created without their stay in New York. In this way, not only individual positions can be discovered in the exhibition, but also the significance of cultural exchange for the artistic work.

With her stay in New York, Tatjana Busch began to break through the boundaries of sculpture in her three-dimensional works and to explore the potential of pure form with an installation-based approach. In the site-specific Lightinstallation, “zoom” beyond thoughts, she uses light as a material of consciousness, that enters into a new synthesis with sculpture and video: she makes the essence of form visible through light, and the essence of light visible through form – and it is only one possibility, in this moment and space.
